Flight Delays and Cancellations tips - http://flightdelayscompensationclaim.co.uk/

I have put together a few helpful flight travel tips.

Flight delays and cancellations travel tip 1 – Book the early flight

If you absolutely must be there on time, consider booking the first available flight on the day. Flights that depart at 6 or 7 in the morning. This is because the plane will probably have been at the airport overnight. That way you’re less light to be delayed as a result of waiting for any in-bound flight.

Also, by getting away on the earliest flight here is, any in-bound weather conditions later in the day will not affect your flight departure.

Flight delays and cancellations travel tip 2 – Book into a hotel the night before you fly…

Next is to consider booking into a hotel the night before your flight departure. This way you guarantee your arrival at the airport in the morning.

You avoid any problems associated with accidents on the roads, or if your car breaks down, at least you’ll have more time to deal with the problem on your way up to the airport the night before.

You will arrive more relaxed and you don’t have to stress in the morning about getting to the airport on time.

In the UK the two main airports, which are Heathrow and Gatwick, most travellers need to navigate the M25. It’s must better to do this the prior evening when there’s less traffic and where there are any delays, these are unlikely to affect you in the way they would if you were travelling on the M25 on the day of the flight. Accidents and roadworks have a major impact on your journey time to the airport, so why not make life easier for you.

Often the cost of the hotel and parking is not very much more than the cost of parking alone.

Flight delays and cancellations travel tip 3 – Travel light with carry-on luggage only…

Travel light. Consider flying with a carry-on bag only. This becomes an advantage where there are some last minute changes to your flight. It’s much easier for airlines to switch you from one flight to another where you have carry-on luggage only.

Flight delays and cancellations travel tip 4 – Keep your information up-to-date with your airline…

Make sure your information is up-to-date with the airline. This way if there are any problems, they are able to contact you right away.

The airline should always have your up-to-date mobile number and email address.

Flight delays and cancellations travel tip 5 – live flight tracker or flight status apps…

Download flight status and tracker apps like Flight Aware and Flight Stats. By having a flight status app you’ll often get the information about your flight before your airline sends you the information.

Flight delays and cancellations travel tip 6 – Consider using airport lounges…

For the longer flight delays, consider using an airport lounge. You’ll be able to relax and enjoy a drink and some food while you wait for your flight to be organised by your airline.

Some bank accounts provide free access to airport lounges as part of their service fee. It may be worth you looking into this before you go on your travels.

Having access to an airport lounge whilst you wait for your flight, even without any delays, makes the whole airport experience that much more enjoyable too.

Flight delays and cancellations travel tip 7 – Use hotel apps for those over-night flight delays…

For those longer flight delays or cancellations, where you need to book into a hotel overnight, consider downloading hotel booking apps.

Hotel apps like booking.com and Hotel Tonight are two good apps to get good deals at short notice.

Flight delays and cancellations travel tip 8 – Call the airline direct if your flight is cancelled…

If your flight is cancelled, don’t wait in line with everyone else, call the airline directly. This way you beat the queues and you’ll get sorted out quicker and easier.

Flight delays and cancellations travel tip 9 – For flight delays and cancellations you may be entitled to flight delay compensation…

For those longer delays or cancellations, you can consider a ticket refund, especially where the trip is no longer worthwhile.

However, you may also be entitled to EU flight delay compensation too. The link below is for UK residents only….

If you live in the UK and have suffered from a long flight delay or a flight cancellation, please click on this link for more information: http://flightdelayscompensationclaim.co.uk/

You may be entitled to EU flight delay compensation of up to €600 per person in your party for either a  delay arrival of more than 3 hours, or for a cancellation which resulted in a delay. For your flight delay claim, don’t delay as this could be worth a significant amount of money to you.
